Best Feature: crisp taste
Furstenberg has a tight head with a golden yellow colour very similar to the colouring of apple juice. The carbonation was average with a distinct hoppy aroma. The mouthfeel was very light with a crisp taste and distinct bitterness of hops. The aftertaste while initially strong tones down to a pleasant level. This is definitely a beer I would have several of on a hot summer day or after a ball game. The hop flavours of Furstenberg made it one of the favourite pilsners that we tasted during the beer tasting class at UBC! |

Best Features: great party beer, great blue can
Furstenberg Premium Pilsner is imported by Oktober Imports of B.C. This beer combines a bright and inviting colour with a slight hoppy aroma. The flavour is bitter and hoppy but the taste is compact. The distinct hoppiness is very present but this beer has a short and refreshing finish. The dark blue tall cans are unique and distinctive. This beer would be a great party beer that would go well with a variety of snacking foods (like chips and salsa). Furstenberg is available at most BC Liquor Stores for $2.25 for the 500 ml can, what a bargain! |

Best Feature: sharp hoppyness
I was pleasantly surprised with Furstenberg Premium Pilsner , it definitely earned its title of "premium pilsner" on the labeling. This beer has an inviting golden yellow colour & pleasant aroma. When tasting Furstenberg, I found it had a quick & sharp hoppiness, nothing lingered. This is an extremely refreshing beer which is currently one of my top picks for pilsners today. The alcohol content is 4.8% and makes this beer a lighter than most beer. Available @ BC liquor stores in a tall blue can.
