Best Features: crisp clean finish

Asahi Super Dry beer is a very interesting beer from Japan. This beer started the trend of the "dry" brewing process. Basically the dry brewing eliminates the unwanted byproducts and waste from the beer and creates a clean crisp beer. The aroma is pleasant with a slight hint of spices. The carbonation is average and, as promised, the finish is crisp and clean with no lingering aftertaste. I would recommend matching this beer with something salty or spicey (like chips or chilli). This beer is available in most BC liquor stores and we always taste it during our beer tasting classes!

Best Features: golden brown colour, hoppy aroma

Seeing how much I love sushi I thought why not give this popular Japanese beer a try.  The Asahi had a very appealing light golden yellow colour to it with full tight head.  Its light aroma was very unique in that it could only be described as woody.  The mouth feel was pleasing and light bodied with a very sharp and crisp aftertaste as expected from a “dry” beer.  Overall this was an enjoyable beer that I could drink for an evening.

Best feature: Easy drinking dry beer

There are no strong tastes to this beer whatsoever. Known as the worlds 1st "dry" beer, it has limited flavour, virtually no aftertastes, & really doesn't have much of any aromas to it. However, it still is a decently brewed beer. This is the type of beer I could drink all night at a party and serve to my friends over the holiday season. Asahi dry is available at most Lower Mainland liquor stores so give it a try!
