Best Features: sweet aftertaste, easy drinking
According to the Labatt Canada website, Labatt Blue is the best selling Canadian Beer in the world. This beer does a great job at representing Canadian macrobreweries. It has a smooth mouthfeel with the perfect amount of carbonation. When poured into a glass, the bubbles dance and the beer has the right amount of head retention for a pilsner. The aftertaste is short and sweet. This is an easy drinking beer that can be enjoyed with a variety of foods and at your favourite watering hole with friends. |

Best Features: sweet aroma, great memories
Labatts Blue Once upon a time, this was my beer of beers and still holds many fond memories for me. This pilsner style beer has an inviting light golden yellow colour with good dense head. Its aroma is lightly hoppy with a hint of sweetness. The mouthfeel is light with average carbonation and a short crisp aftertaste. I think this beer is a good party beer to drink all night in an attempt to reach a sufficient state of happiness. I love drinking this beer while enjoying wings at my favourite pub or bar!

Best Features: Predictability, good old standby for Canada
Labatt Blue has been part of my life long before I acquired the taste for beer. My Dad always stocked the downstairs fridge with this, my Grandfather too. Why? "Cause you know what to expect", Grandpa said "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". The older generations tended to stick with what they knew, & they didn't like to explore. This clear yellow-gold pilsner is a safe bet to keep spares around for guests, or if you're ever at a restaurant that only has a handful of flavours to choose from. However, this beer does have a bit of an aftertaste, as do most pilsners.
