Best Features: always a great present for my dad!
John Labatt Classic is a super premium beer offered by Labatt. This beer pours nicely into a glass and has a rich head. The body is very clean and clear. The aroma is very light, but it has a feint fruity smell that is appealing. This beer has an average amount of carbonation and the mouthfeel is pleasant. The packaging is unique and classy. This beer is one of my dad's favourite beers and he enjoys the smooth crisp aftertaste. This is a good beer for someone to try if they are interested in trying a beer that has a little more "hoppy" flavour and more of a lingering aftertaste. For a special premium beer, the price was moderate and appropriate. I would recommend matching this food with spaghetti or roasted chicken. |

Best Features: smooth, crisp, lingering aftertaste
John Labatt Classic is a premium lager offered by Labatt Brewing. It has an attractive golden yellow colouration and a mouthwatering full head. Its nose is very light but you can make out some malt and a hint of hops. The mouthfeel for this lager was relatively light with above average carbonation, followed with a fairly smooth, crisp, lingering aftertaste. This beer also has a slightly higher alcohol content of 5.3%. The other upside to this beer is that there are no preservatives in it, so you are getting beer and only beer. I would highly recommend this beer as an addition to almost any meal.

Best Features: subtle fruitiness
John Labatt Classic is a beer marketed to mature beer drinkers as a "premium extra aged lager". It carries a "premium" price for a domestic and personally I was a little turned off by the price. However, this smooth golden lager has a pleasant fruitiness, with a nice lingering aftertaste. For all those doubters you should remember that a lingering aftertaste can be a good thing sometimes. This was the case with John Labatt Classic. I found the packaging unique and appealing. As my beer tastes change I enjoy beers like this with a meal, but I would still hesitate to buy this beer for a party because of the sticker price.
