Best Feature: pleasant aroma
When I poured Pacific Traditional Light it was a pale yellow colour with minimal carbonation. The head seemed about average in density and life, and the nose had a pleasant and light hops aroma. The mouthfeel I found was extremely light with an almost non-existant flavour, which was very disappointing, as a matter of fact the flavour was tin like and very similar to a non-alcoholic beer. There was no finish to this beer at all with an imperceptible aftertaste. I was definitely expecting something better than what I got, this beer barely rates a 1 out of 5. |

Best Feature: price
Pacific Traditional Light from the Pacific Western Brewing Company is the first "light" beer we have tasted on the website. This review is very simple like this beer. When we taste beer for the website we usually have at least one beer each (so at least 3 beers in total). After we finished reviewing Pacific Traditional Light we still had 2 beers on the table and nobody wanted to pour them. On the Pacific Western website they have descriptions of all of their beers, they don't have a description of Pacific Traditional Light! The aroma hints of slight sweetness, light body, watery mouthfeel and insignificant aftertaste. This light beer tastes like beer with water. The search for a light beer that receives a passing grade continues! |

Best Feature: cheap price
Pacific Western brews all of their products with natural Rocky Mountain spring water. This light beer however tasted like that was about all that was in the can, apart for some yellow-gold colouring. Yes I realize it only has 3.5% alcohol, but this is the least appealing light Canadian beer I've tried yet. Hops? Body? Carbonation? Where'd they all go? In all fairness to Pacific Western, it did have the aroma of beer. If you would like to give this a try, it's got a great price @ the BC Liquor stores: 6-pack of cans is only $8.45
