Best Feature: lingering head
This Holy Ale was brewed in England by the Black Sheep Brewery and has an alcohol content of 4.7%. The colouration of this beer was a very enticing golden honey colour and the nose was a distinct hoppy aroma with overtones of fruitiness. The head was tight and a bit on the light side but it lingered which I always enjoy. I found the mouthfeel and body of this beer to be light and the taste was crisp with a touch of hoppy bitterness. The aftertaste was very pleasant and was not overpowering. Overall not a bad beer, I could pr0bably down a pint or 3.

Best Feature: great packaging
Monty Python's Holy Grail is a great beer with a great name. Available at most liquor stores in the Lower Mainland this beer is available in a unique 500 ml bottle with a unique label. Don't be intimidated by the brand name, this English Ale is smooth and a lot lighter in colour and taste than traditional English Ales. A combination of a great bottle, a nice pour, a fruity aroma, and a smooth clean finish make this beer a great choice. Definitely a beer I would recommend for a special event or a beer tasting party. This beer is a conversation piece! Try matching this beer with a hearty meal, the flavour of this beer will be something you will remember! |

Best Feature: full flavoured fruity taste!
Once again I have been pleasantly surprised! Monty Python Holy Grail is a 4.7% ale has an appealing amber (with a tinge of orange) colour to it, a pleasant fruit aroma & great head retention. Holy Grail's full flavoured taste has lots of fruity hops, a subtle dry, bitter finish. This English Ale is paired great with UK style pub fare or meats. I however have enjoyed this on its own. "Cliff Claven's Little Known Fact": Holy Grail was specially commissioned by Black Sheep Brewery to commemorate the 30th anniversary of "Monty Python".
