Best Features: cool packaging, light & versatile
Available in and attractive blue and gold label bottle, Efes Pilsener is very bright and golden in colour. Typical of this style, the head is light and wispy, the carbonation level is fairly high, and the finish is clean. The mouthfeel is nice, light and crisp on the tongue, followed by a smooth easy finish. Efes is definitely a very versatile beer that can be enjoyed on a hot day or with a variety of foods. Try this beer at a party or to share with your friends. Look for this beer in restaurants throughout the city and it will soon be on government liquors store shelves.
Beer Fact: The first Pilsener, brewed in 1842 Bohemia, was a lager with brilliant clarity, golden color, and light body, very different from dark, heavy and cloudy beers most people were accustomed to. |

Best Features: crisp and clean
Efes Pilsener, this week's beer of the week, is brewed in Turkey. Efes is brewed using the German traditions only barley, malt and hops. When poured into a glass the bright golden colour is very attractive. The bubbles rising to the top of the glass indicate a mid-high carbonation level. I enjoy drinking import beers like Efes because they are easy to drink and light. This is the type of beer I proudly display at a party or when I invite friends over for a beer. Efes is 5% alcohol, and not in high circulation in government liquor stores yet. Definitely a shame, this product will make it's mark on the import stage because it combines a nice look and it is easy to drink.

Best Feature: appetizing combination
This Turkish brew had a very distinct hoppy aroma. In the glass, the Efes Pilsener was a light pale yellow colour topped with a rather tight lingering head. The mouthfeel was very light chased by a crisp finish and minimal aftertaste. This is definitely a beverage that would go well with a rack of Bbq ribs and even something spicy like Thai food (Thai House or SalaThai restaurants). I would definitely recommend this beer for a tournament weekend of imbibing.
