Best Features: price is right for an import
Konig Pilsener is a 4.9% German import that has a light & minimal aroma, and a clear golden colour. Brewed in the tradition of the Bavarian Purity law of 1516, Konig Pilsner's mildly hoppy taste seems very crisp & clean, which is quite typical of these styles of German Pilsner imports. This is priced right at the provincial liquor stores for $2.05 / 500ml tall can. I would recommend pairing Konig Pilsner with a delicately prepared white fish (halibut, sole, etc).

Best Features: the price, CHEAP!
Konig Pilsener is available at some liquor stores around town so we decided to pick some up for a tasting. High in carbonation, the beer poured nicely into the glass with a light wispy head. The hop smell immediately developed from the glass and beer had a clean smell. The first sip produced a crisp taste that is fairly sharp on the tongue, followed by a short and distinct hoppy finish. Very similar to other pilsener style beers, Konig Pilsener can be paired with light snacks and spicy food. Available in 500 ml cans, definitely worth a try.
Beer Fact: Pilsener style beers are at the opposite end of the spectrum as a stout. Known for clarity, crispness and definite hoppy bitterness, pilseners are very popular throughout the world. |

Best Features: delicious hoppy bitterness
Konig Pilsener is an interesting beer brewed according to the 1516 purity law, the Konig Pilsner will tempt the palate of those who love this type beer. When poured you notice the heavy hops aroma immediately, its colouration was an inviting clear pale yellow and finally topped with a good tight head. The mouthfeel was light with a delicious hoppy bitterness which surprisingly disappeared rather quickly. I would definitely recommend this beer after a strenuous outdoor summer day. |
