Best Feature: Crisp refreshing taste & price

Bitburger is a 4.8% German brewed pilsner. It has a clear golden colour with very minimal aroma. The mouthfeel was higher in carbonation, very light and crisp. This is an easy drinking beer. Great to load a cooler with, and head down to the beach with your friends. A decent price at the government liquor stores of $2.55 per 500ml tall can. Try pairing Bitburger with a lemon chicken dish.

Beer Fact: Marketed as Germany's # 1 draft beer, Bitburger has remained a family run business since it's start in 1817. Bitburger also guarantees they use the best raw materials to produce their beer.

Best Feature: light mouthfeel

Bitburger Premium beer is a German pilsner brewed according to the beer purity law of 1516.  In the glass, this pilsner is a pale golden yellow colour topped with minimal head and average carbonation.  You will find the nose to be mildly hoppy.  I found the mouthfeel to be very light with a crisp start and pleasant but lingering bitter finish.  This is a nice light beer that is easy to drink and would be very versatile when pairing with a meal.

Best Features: versatile, mild hoppy aroma, crisp

Bitburger is a good example of a German Pilsener and this one of the main reasons why this style of beer is one of the most popular beers imported into Canada. The Germans are know for using high quality ingredients and precise brewing techniques to create consistent flavour and quality. Combining a crisp mouthfeel and mild, but apparent hoppy flavour, Bitburger lives up to other beers in this category. The pour produces a clear golden beer with a light wispy head. The aroma is mild with hints of hops and light malts. Bitburger is very well balanced and is definitely easy to drink. A great beer to start a night of beer tasting, Bitburger is also very versatile and pairs well with several types of food; light snacks, fresh vegetables or chicken fingers.

Beer Fact: Bitburger is one of dozens of import beers available in 500 ml cans, these beers are perfect for mixing and matching and also have a good price point.
