Let's Talk Beer

Originating in 2010, Just Here for the Beer is Canada’s longest-running, dedicated and continuous beer program on commercial radio airwaves. The broadcast airs bi-weekly on Vancouver’s Sports authority, Sportsnet AM650 Hosted by longtime broadcaster/writer Joe Leary and beer expert Rick Mohabir, the show is podcast online and available through the various Sportsnet Mobile and Streaming devices.

‘Just Here for the Beer Radio’ is made possible by the continued and generous support of our numerous brewery sponsors. The show is recorded at a variety of beer-forward bars, pubs, restaurants and tasting rooms around the Lower Mainland. Our current list of locations includes the legendary John B Pub in Coquitlam, Taphouse Guildford and Taphouse Coquitlam and Park Drive on Commercial Drive. 

​Ciders, Sodas and Cocktails; The RTD Show discussions focus on the exploding refreshed beverages and canned cocktails drink segment. The show is recorded at AJ’s Brooklyn Pizza Joint and airs once per month on Sportsnet AM 650.

The Radio Shows

​The Just Here For The Beer show broadcasts air on Vancouver’s Flagship sports radio station Sportsnet 650, on the second and last Saturday of each month at 9:00 pm with a rebroadcast the subsequent Sunday at 11:00 pm. The Through The Grapevine wine show and the Hand Crafted Spirits show each broadcast once per month on BNN Radio 1410. The Ciders, Sodas and Cocktails radio show is broadcast once per month on Sportsnet 650.
